Frequently asked questions by members of the public
“Why use weed killer to get rid of the weeds, what harm do they do?”
There are a variety of answers to this question.
If weeds are not controlled from early onset it can lead to some very expensive difficulties. There may be problems regarding surface breakage,
this could lead to tripping hazards on the paving caused by uneven surface or a person directly tripping over the weed itself due to the size and position.
Weeds can cause poor drainage, which can also cause surface deterioration.
All these problems can result in the added burden of law suits on behalf of
property owners as well as the public. When you are finished with dealing with those disputes you then have the added expense of replacing the surface
structure as well as having to control the weeds eventually. This itself is unnecessary financial outlay and a very poor use of our resources, not just
financial, but environmental as well. Treatment using non residual herbicide has less impact on the environment than replacing the broken surface and also
dealing with the unnecessary outlay of public resources.
